With our cheese CSA add-on, once a month you will receive a selection of three Shepherd’s Way Farms farmstead sheep cheeses. Ranging from ricotta, to fresh sheep cheese, tomme style, Manchego style, blue to bloomy rinds, and specialty cheese spreads, three cheeses are selected to best pair with the seasonal produce. We also include recipes and pairing suggestions.

If you haven’t tried our award-winning cheeses yet, we’d love to introduce them! Sheep cheese is harder to find because there are few sheep dairies in this country and sheep produce less milk than goats or cows. Sheep milk is highly valued because it is exceptionally nutritious, with more calcium, protein and many other nutrients than cow or goat milk. And it makes delicious cheese!

Our family has been raising sheep and making cheese just outside Northfield for more than 20 years. We love caring for the land, our animals and making cheese for our community.
