Is your Night Owl Farm CSA missing something?

Are you a Night Owl Farm CSA share member who loves bread? How about locally handcrafted bread made with local and handmade ingredients? If you said “yes” to these questions then Night Owl Farm and Behind the Breadbox are excited to offer you a Bread Share add-on for the 2024 CSA season!

The Bread Share add-on will provide you with a fresh loaf of bread in your CSA basket every week for all 16 weeks of the CSA season. Behind the Breadbox bread is made with freshly-milled organic wheat and rye from Great River Milling (Cochrane, WI), in-house made freshly-churned butter and buttermilk, and uses local ingredients like honey from Sticky Drips Honey Co. (New Brighton, MN), Maple Syrup from Jirik Family Farms (Killkenny, MN), and garlic from Night Owl Farm. Your Bread Share bread will be baked fresh the day before pick-up and will come unsliced so you can decide exactly how thick you want it to be. 

Half Loaf Shares – $100

Half loaves are the equivalent of 8 standard slices and are the perfect size for 1 or 2 person households or those who don’t eat a lot of bread but still like a little here and there.

Whole Loaf shares – $175

Whole loaves are the equivalent of 16 standard slices and are the perfect size for larger households or those who just really like their bread.

The breads you receive during the 2024 season will rotate between the bakery’s many offerings and the current bread menu & schedule is shown below. There is always a chance that the menu could change but in the unlikely case that it does, this page will be updated and you will be notified.
